and found the software better

I had the chance to put the dell All-In-One Printer 922 to the test and found the following.Dell Photo All-In-One Printer 922

Borderless printing in sizes up to A4 which produce good quality prints in colour or black and white, but the ink tends to run on the edges causing the back of the page to be stained.

Optional photo cartridge for greater range of colour printing and with good photo quality paper produced sharp crisp images equal to any photo lab.

Perfect fit for any home or small office they say but it measures 437mm x 323mm x 168mm (WxDxH) dimensions and this is not small compared to my desk space, overall it's medium at best.

The specs are:
Borderless Photo Printing Colour print, copy and scan
Ports
USB - Cable Required
Resolution
4800 x 1200 dpi resolution
Functions
Colour Print, Scan, Photocopy and Borderless Printing
B&W Print Speed
Up to 18 ppm A4
Colour Print Speed
Up to 14 ppm A4
Scanner Resolution
48-bit scanner, 600x2400 dpi
Low Ink
Dell Ink Management SystemTM Complete-a-PrintTM & Reserve Tank ModeTM

The software is quite good and with scanning from the touch of the scan button on the printer the entire program comes to life and the image apears on the screen in seconds.
The printer also works alone as a copier and again with the touch of the colour or black and white button the scanner copies and prints in one command.

The Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 922 is a multifunction inkjet model for consumers and home-office customers that combines scanning, copying, and printing functions. The 922 creates borderless photos, and can print in six colors when the optional Dell photo ink cartridge is added. The company states that photos printed with the Dell photo ink cartridge on Dell Premium Photo Paper can last up to 50 years.

Also come with a good text reader to convert scanned pages to word documents for editing.

Now the bad points
First the LCD display is in another language but this is only because I ordered it via another source.
The scanning bed is at a slight angle and this causes the scanned item to slide especially if its not paper.
The price of the replacement cartridges can cost but alternative replacements might save you money. Be warned they also cause damage to the inkjets over time.

I would recomment this if you are restricted to space and the all in one does save space compared to a seperate printer and scanner but if one part breaks you lose the use of both printer and scanner. I don't review products much but when I find something that works according to what on the box then they deserve a comment.

The other great thing is the price including delivery it cost me 141.00 euro here in Ireland and thats cheap for any printer here.
