While a mother was taking her children to school today, three dogs surrounded the mother and her two children. In the moments that passed the dogs jumped and snapped in search of food, they were obviously hungry. But that was the last thing in this mothers mind. The dogs did no physical harm but emotionaly the mother and children were distressed. this happened my son at an early age and has since had a fear of dogs passing him on a lease. Where are the owners when their dogs are causing this fear. Do collars only apply to those who care about their pets. These dogs were not strays and are well known to the locals, but when dog control are called the dogs are tucked away into their homes safe and sound. What can a person do to enforce the safety of themselfs and their family. It's not the dogs at fault but their owners and this is where the law should be enforced. Strays are another story and should be caught and hopefully re-housed with a caring owner capable of looking after it.
This post was posted in another blog by me some time ago and since then I have recieved a lot of feedback about who is and is not at fault.
What do you think?
