Yahoo's popular Flickr photo-sharing Web site has a new feature that can automatically tag photos taken with camera phones with the location using the GPS coordinates. More information can be found at Yahoo's Web site. This is a welcome feature as I'm one of those users that just upload and forget. Tagging is an important feature for tracking your photos on the web, see who's linking or using your photo and add some interesting information to your work. I use flickr to link my images on my new website so I can keep the bandwidth down. currently two tippinst students are using APIs to tag images and use it to generate a discription online in their sites.
